February was a good month for TVS Motors as it registered a growth of 7 per cent with respect to overall sales. The Hosur based two-wheeler giant sold 2,19,467 units in total in February 2016 as opposed to 2,04,565 units it had managed in the corresponding month last year. Talking about domestic sales, TVS Motors sold 1,83,199 units in February 2016 to register a growth of 11.4 per cent. Scooters have always been a big contributor in terms of overall sales for TVS Motors and they continued to do so in February, 2016 as well. Scooter sales gained an impressive 18.2 per cent with the Hosur based manufacturer selling 67,089 units in total.
Two wheeler exports though showed a decline as it recorded sales of 27,949 units in February, 2016 as against 31,001 units in February, 2015. TVS has launched the Victor and the new Apache 200 motorcycle in the Indian market. It will be banking on both these motorcycles to amplify its sales further in the upcoming months. TVS also has plans to launch a new scooter in the Indian market as they have been showcasing tremendous growth aspect with respect to sales numbers.
